Teh Fox & Teh Hound

Well, today we played a very unique game that I've never played or heard where 2 teams have whistle and they blow it every so often and everybody else tries to catch them. At first I wondered if we could cheat and not run at all but fortunately, Nic started running so I had to keep up with him. We heard the first whistle blast and it came from the pond so we sprinted there. We followed the sound but we were seperated by a stinkin' fence so we could't get them. After that, we just circled around the school trying to hear a whistle blast and thinking of places to hide if we did get the whistle. Our next close encouter was in front of the school where Richard was running with a pack of hounds behind him so we chased them but was cut of after another team tagged them. We decided not to cheat and didn't follow them. We went to the pond where we saw another group running so we chased them. Nic planned his route a lot better than me so when he got the whistle, I was far behind. When everybody saw we had the whistle, they started chasing us which sucked because we had 2 minutes and I was out of breath from trying to get the whistle so we were caught literally as soon as we blew the whistle.

Overall, me and Nic got a lot of exercise and I like this game a lot but it's totally not fair how people can follow you when you have 2 minutes to get away. To be honest, I didn't think we would get the whistle at all and I would be perfectly fine if we did. How we got caught was pretty funny (I won't go into detail).

Ma Midterm (Rambling about PE)

It's almost time for report card 1, so I'm going to ramble about PE.

PE (Physical Education) is a course where you play sports. Not all the time. In fact, most of the time in PE in high school is not playing sports. Last year, it wasn't even called PE, it was called "Active Learning". Of course, that's almost opposite to what we did in elementary. In PE, we do a much more wide variety of things as simple as throwing a ball at a wall. Simple things like that was overlooked in elementary. In that class, I learned a whole lot more about my capabilities than in classes where we play sports.

There's a lot more to PE than just skill and technique. There's sportsmanship, cooperation and leadership. The attitude is also a huge part in playing well in any sport. It's also important to never give up. When we were out in the field for fitness, that was by far the most difficult activity I've done in PE. Most of the time, my team was the last to finish our activity but slow and steady wins the race. The most important thing is that we kept encouraging each other and didn't stop.

My attitude toward PE is most of the time positive ( It shows at the beginning of class). I try to cheer up my friends when they are having a hard time.

I've noticed that my fitness has improve by a lot since last year partly because I know what to expect when we do things like the beep test ( I got a 7.2). My biggest improvement is when we did the pond run a while back. Last year, I would have to skip quite a few running sections but the last time we did it, I kept going for the whole duration. It was a really slow jog but at least it was faster than walking.

Good job if you read this far. I'll continue to ramble about PE next time.

The hardest part about writing this post was trying to think of how to start. Sorry for any spelling or grammar mistakes : )

GOOF!

Today I walked home and realized that I forgot my keys in my locker so I had to walk back to school and walk back to my house. A one way trip takes about 20 minutes. Oh well, at least I got my daily fitness...
